This is such an easy top to make using well fitted blocks.

* Pivot the shoulder dart into the waist dart and then don't sew it.
* Ignore the darts on the back bodice also.
* Lengthen the bodice front and back.
* Flare out the side seams for an A-line look.
* Draft your neckline & facings.
* Draft your butterfly sleeves.
* Sew together using the steps in the book.
* Wear it immediately! ☀️

Easy peasy!!

* Pinch up shoulders
* Take in side seams
* Take fullness out of the centre front
* Lift the waist seam
* Check the shoulder seams alignment
* Take in centre back if needed
* Pin any gape at the armhole
* Check the shape and depth of the armhole

Here is a taster of what I get up to on day two. Bespoke Fittings for each lady in their toile. 👗

My favourite part when the fitting is complete, is when so many ladies say they would wear a dress that fitted as they felt so good in the toile! Before then, they had a very different view of their body.

Body positivity goes hand in hand with well fitted clothes 🙌

Hi all! I'm excited to be getting into the trouser zone finally. The trouser book is one that I want to perfect and I'm starting with making my own trousers from a pattern.

I am already frustrated as I was off the sizing chart even though it went up to a 20. 😕

If I had tried to make these for me without any fitting knowledge I would have given up for sure. They looked horrendous when I first sampled them.

By going through this fitting for me, I will be able to make this the best book possible, because I am far from a 'conventional shape and size'. (As in, fitting into someone's size chart for one size fits all!)

So stick with me on this journey and the end product will be the trouser book you all need in your life 🙌
