🎉 3 YEARS OF PROSPECT HOSPICE CAVENDISH SQUARE! 🎉

3 years ago today, we opened our shop for the first time — and what an incredible 3 years it has been!

We want to say a huge thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers for all the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm you bring to the shop every single day. You are what makes our shop so special.

A massive thank you to our wonderful customers too. Every purchase, donation and visit helps us raise vital funds for Prospect Hospice and the care they provide to local people and their families. We truly appreciate every bit of support.

And of course, a special thank you to our DC team, who are always sending us the stock we need and helping us keep the shop full of fantastic finds!

And what better time to celebrate than with the wonderful news announced this week that Prospect Hospice will be opening 3 extra beds. This is fantastic news and will mean even more people can receive the specialist care and support they need.

We are so proud that, through the continued support of our customers, volunteers and community, our shop plays a small part in helping make this possible. 💙

Wednesday’s we always replenish our homeware and jewellery departments. Thank you to Debbie, our Assistant Manager and Susie our Volunteer who always make the departments look great again.

Thank you to all our customers who have donated or made a purchase this week.
We are having a super sort out today to get out as much new stock as we can. Some quirky items so far today including these pair of ducks.

This week we have another work experience student with us. She is doing really well and has helped me to create these displays.

We have also been topping up the shop with plenty of summer clothes.

Congratulations to our volunteer Yvonne who is celebrating her 10 year anniversary of volunteering with Prospect Hospice.

Yvonne started her volunteering journey in 2016, at our Gorse Hill store. Volunteer 2 times a week. She continued this until she took up part time work at a supermarket. She now gives her time as often as she can, usually every other Monday, alongside her other work commitments and voluntary work she also does at the hospital, where she serves patients their meals on the wards.

Thank you Yvonne for everything you do. Our shop would not be the same without you.

Yvonne says “ I started volunteering as my father-in-law and my Nan were both cared for at the Hospice. I wanted to gain some retail experience and thought Prospect would be the right charity for me. I enjoy my role as it has given me not just confidence but skills I needed. I continue to volunteer as well as work part-time as I enjoy working with my managers as well as all my fellow volunteers”

We have had a busy few days restocking our shelves with the wonderful donations we have received so far this week. Our jewellery has had a refresh also.
