Patchwork Paradise Crafty Creative Notions and Fabrics Happy stitch, Jenny xx

Hey, it's been a while since I've been around, COVID has brought me right back to selling fabric once again, any of our old customers who use to buy from us will know, my service and prices are excellent. I will slowly start working on my page and a Ebay webshop over the next coming months including posting an album of fabrics available to buy.

Let’s discuss, Folksy advertises itself as the U.K. version of Etsy. How successful is selling on it here, compared to Etsy. What are your experiences? Does it draw enough of a crowd to warrant setting up shop? Can it help others make an extra income during these difficult times? How do you find the fees? X

Let’s discuss! 🙂 ways of making pennies when things are very hard for everyone. My cousin has been selling on Vinted, I’m keen to give it a go myself although they don’t do craft/fabric categories. With no fees as a seller, it seems excellent. So what experiences has any one had? And what recommendations for anyone wanting to give it a try. ###

8 years ago today, this was when my fabric business was in its absolute prime. Now! Starting from scratch again, I’m not sure I’ll ever get as good and busy as I was at this time but you just never know. Have any of you ran a business that dwindled to nothing due to various reasons, and then came back? Let me know your tips and tricks. X

Hello lovely peeps. I just want to say The biggest thank you for those who have purchased fabric of me and those who have supported me in any sort of the way. As many of you know I ran Patchwork Paradise years ago it was very successfully and even ended up opening a bricks and mortar store. I love making and creating and inspiring and this is so important to me. During the pandemic myself and a few very good friends took it upon ourselves to make thousands of masks for alsorts of folk for free and it was really rewarding. The last few years thou I’ve had to deal with a lot of very difficult situations. I won’t go to much into detail here.

My health and mental health took a rapid nose dive.

Having had a very difficult and abusive childhood it has left me with various health conditions but the worst of it is my bipolar type 2 and BOrderline personality disorder. i do everything I can to fight each day. The problem with my condition and others like it who suffer, is you can go from being the most enthusiastic creative and energetic person (the mania) to feeling like a zombie, (for better of the world), you lose all your zest for life in an instant, you become paranoid, delusional, sometimes see and hear things. It drives you to the lowest form of depression where you struggle with various forms of self harm. Your like two people in one body and it sucks but like myself and many others who suffer we do have ways of managing the condition with help.

This is part of the reason I’m rebooting my fabric store. I keep getting nice little jobs when I’m well and then when I’m poorly I can’t cope with life let alone getting to work. It’s a vicious horrible cycle and whilst I am on medicine to help, I really am at the best I’m going to be this side of the earth.

When rebooting my fabric business I have been very doubtful I could get it on its feet again but I decided to just go for it and bring it back to its shining loveliness.

I’ve been so grateful for the few sales I’ve had and it’s helping me feel like I’m able to get up and do what I loved most. So for that I have to say the biggest thank you. I truly hope I can be off service to you and I want to reintroduce lots of ideas for making and creating for yourself. Oh and please tell me about yourself and if you have a crafty business feel free to tag.😘😘😘 it would be great to reconnect with folk. Xx
