At Mêl Haulwen Honey our hives are located high in the hills of North Carmarthenshire where the tributary, Afon Fach Pontcarreg begins to join Afon Cywyn in Talog. Farming around here is arable with many hedgerows and the site for our bees is in a meadow. Our aim is to keep the bees as naturally as possible, with very little intervention, but we are always on hand to keep a gentle eye on the bees.

Traditional methods are used to extract the honey, taking care to maintain the nutrional benefits. Beeswax is a valuable by product of keeping bees, so only using what my bees produce, I make:
* 100% beeswax candles (considered the best) - using good quality therapuetic essential oils for fragrance.
* Beeswax polish blended with organic olive oil - for those who find the smell of turpentine offensive.

Some of you may me aware that our market, Marchnad Ffermwyr Talog has come to an end, which means that I am unable to sell my products publicly.

The good news is that Y Pantri Bach in Drefach Felindre stocks my beeswax polish, candles and soaps ( when available).

I will still sell my honey locally when the honeybees allow it.
