KANDY - Sweet Cones Selling sweet cones for various occasions to fundraise towards the cost of Leo's place on the World Scout Jamboree in 2027 to Poland.

This page was originally set up to support Cole's fundraising for an international scouts trip to Kandersteg, Switzerland in August 2023. Now his youngest sibling, Leo, is also fundraising for his place on the World Scout Jamboree 2027 to Poland! Leo is the only scout from Tamworth to be taking part in the WSJ, and possibly the youngest from Staffordshire. He's very excited, and working extremely

Cole is an Explorer Scout in Tamworth. In August 2023 he is taking part in an international trip to Kandersteg, Switzerland with Staffordshire Scouts. As part of this experience he is expected to fundraise towards the cost of the trip, allowing him to understand the importance of working to achieve your goals, and enabling him to feel that sense of acomplishment. Since October, Cole has been running a successful tuck shop at local Beavers, Cubs and Scouts groups within Tamworth. In December, he branched out and started selling Christmas Sweet Cones and bags of reindeer food to local residents and at Christmas Fayres. This was extremely popular, and he had various requests for birthday sweet cones too. So again, Cole has extended his fundraising efforts into birthday sweet cones as of January 2023, which is already really popular. All profit goes into Cole's fundraising, which is to cover the cost of the trip and other expenses. Therefore we are extrememly grateful to everyone who supports Cole with his venture. Please get in contact if you know of a local Scouts/Guides etc group that would be happy to occasionally have Cole bring his tuck shop to the end of a session. Additionally, we'd be happy to hear of any local events that would be suitable for Cole to attend.

✨ Fundraiser ✨

We are putting on a skittles night at the scout hut in Hopwas, to fundraise for Leo's as well as the Hopwas Young Leaders international scouts trips.

We would really appreciate your support with this, it should be a fun night! It is open to everyone, so please book your tickets ASAP.

Tickets are £5 each, and include playing skittles, plus 1 burger or hotdog. If you book a family of 4 or more, you'll get 1 ticket free 🙂. You can purchase more refreshments on the night too. 🙂

Huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at the scouts stall at yesterday's St George's Day event at Tamworth Castle Grounds.

We had a fantastic day, and managed to raise a brilliant £195.80 for Leo's fundraising!

As a reminder or for anyone new to this page, Leo has been selected to attend the next World Scout Jamboree in 2027 to Poland. He is raising money to pay for his place. This is done either by visiting local scouts groups or events selling sweet cones and other items, or taking private orders for birthday parties, baby showers, etc. Please think of us for any upcoming parties/events, and share our page with friends and family ❤️

Tomorrow at Tamworth Castle Grounds there will be a fantastic St George's Day event on again this year 🙂. If you're there, please find the Tamworth Scouts stall, and come and say hi to Leo and Dylan, who are both fundraising for their international scouts trips, as well as the scouts leaders and volunteers who will have fun activities for children, and information on how to sign up to join scouting in Tamworth ⚜️

Leo would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported him at today's fundraiser at Hopwas Scout hut. He raised a fantastic £217.60 in total 🥳

As a reminder of ways and places Leo is fundraising over the coming weeks -

🌻 Giant Sunflower seeds. These have been harvested from our own plants last year. The tallest reached 8ft 9! £1 per pack. We are happy to post these if p&p is also covered.

🕷️ Baby Spider plants! Grown from runners on our own plants. £2 for the smaller pots, £3 for the bigger ones. Collection from Coton Green.

🍭 Sweet Cones. We take orders for birthday parties, baby showers, etc, as well as selling themed cones (Easter ones are now available), and visiting scouts groups and schools. If you know of an event/group where Leo could sell these, please let me know 🙂. If you know anyone with a party coming up who may like some sweet cones, please tag them 🥳

If you have a bit of free time tomorrow, please pop to Hopwas Scout Hut and support Leo and Jacob with their fundraising for international trips. Leo is taking part in the World Scout Jamboree, and Jacob is heading to Borneo with school.

There will be lots of interesting small businesses, along with scouts running the tombola, and of course Leo with his Easter sweet cones and other bits, and Jacon with his woodcraft items. There will also be hot and cold drinks, cakes, biscuits, etc.

We have various ways that Leo is fundraising at the minute, for his place on the World Scout Jamboree. We need help to reach more people as I'm finding that my posts aren't really being seen by many people 😩. Please feel free to share this post, tag people on it, etc.

⭐ Sunday 22nd March we have an event at Hopwas Scout Hut. We need tombola prizes, if anyone has anything that they can donate? Also, please come along and support Leo and his friend that day. There are lots of great small businesses attending.
