Been a busy few weeks with various jobs to do .
The biggest task has been the Aston Martin DB5 chassis that is now ready for customer to collect next week.

Another cross member is made up ready to start another chassis but we had a visit yesterday from a car owner requesting a new front end so we can start that build in a weeks time once we have cleared the current order for fabricated parts.

Lotus Elan rear upright weld repair and machining
Lola T70 Radius rods made to replace inferior construction rods that failed.
New Bias bar made as original unit the circlip grooves had worn
New Chevron dash panel

We have had a very interesting car in the workshop to work on in November and December that was originally a car built by our founder Bob Simpson when he operated as SPA.

Ray Rowan commissioned SPA to build him a monocoque around the left over Toleman TG280/ Lola T850 tub skins he had in 1987 to become the Roman hillclimb car he ran with Hart 2.5 420R engine and won the 1989 British hillclimb championship.

in 1992 the car was sold and in 93 the rear bulkhead and top fuel tank panels removed and new parts fitted to carry Judd CV 3.5 litre F1 engine.

The car lay dormant for a decade until a new owner bought the car and commissioned us to remove the Judd engine fitting parts and retro fit the Hart engine fitting kit, carry out a couple of minor repairs, make new seatbelt mountings and a new pair of front wings.

The car will run on the hillclimb scene again in 2026.

Busy Busy Busy ploughing our way through work to deliver before Xmas to add to Santa's sack.

March F2 Front upright pins finished and despatched and we have a few left own stock for sale
Rear upright's Clevis's to finalise today
March FT200 and FG400 gearbox plates made anodised and 1 of each available for sale.

Reynard F3000 gearbox tubes in the process of being made and the oil filter housing internal tubes finished and off for anodising along with rear upright to wishbone mounts.

Numerous top hats and damper top hats have been made the past 10 days for various cars being built.

March steering rack mounts made and anodised along with rear toe links.

Reynard F3000 drive pegs made to order and surplus available to sell

Arrows A16 F1 nose cone location pegs where required to fit a car that never had them fortunately where able to borrow one from another car to draw up and make.

The past few weeks have been spent on preparing the parts for the Aston Martin DB5 chassis build.
Folding parts for the assembly jig and stock, the spare wheel well has arrived, rear boot floor made and ready to fit.
Rear wheel arches rolled and now parts are on the jig ready to commence welding up large parts as the smaller parts have been welded on.

1 Lola Gp 6 sports car wing. 3 pairs of Arrows F1 front flaps
Some wheel spacers as per customers order and the Aston Martin DB5 chassis build has started to take shape on the jig
Now making wheel nuts for F3/F300 Reynard and Ralt cars and Dallara F3 ready to sell along with Reynard F3000 drive pegs.
Next will be Reynard large axle F3000 wheel nuts

Aston Martin DB4GT chassis finally finished for a customer 2 chassis order. They have said that due to some minor change of their plans for shipping and avoid storage fees that if someone need a chassis we can supply them immediately with this chassis and they will take the next one we will build.

About to commence the next order for DB5 chassis and getting parts ready to assemble 2 more front cross members for stock and chassis parts made folded and welded up

It been a busy few months working our way through various projects.
Arrows A1 the 3 steering rack housings finally finished for the 2 cars in build with the customer and a spare housing made for sale or the spare's box.
Housing now back from anodising black

Rear uprights also finished and back from coating and ready to be built up with bearings and axle hubs.
