The delivery has arrived — Dr John Puppy and Dr John Gold are BACK IN STOCK! 🎉

Available from tomorrow, Tuesday, from 9:15am.

And judging by the size of that pallet… I think we’re well stocked again! 😂🐾

🐾 Meet Dougal! 🐾

Second customer through the door this morning and our first doggy visitor of the day! 😂🐶

This handsome boy is Dougal, aged 2, who apparently loves nothing more than spinning round and round 😂🌀

Dougal gets a bit of an allergy on his tummy, so he went away with a couple of samples to try — Dr. John Silver Beef & Vegetables and Dr. John Hypoallergenic Duck & Salmon.

And of course, no visit would be complete without a treat! He went away with two meaty sticks… although one was very much enjoyed before he even left the shop 😂🐾

📣 GOOD NEWS — CHEQUE DEPOSITS ARE COMING BACK! 🥳

From 1st September 2026, I’ll once again be able to accept Lloyds Banking Group cheque deposits here at Tarland Post Office. ✉️🏦

This will be available for both personal AND business customers with:

🔵 Bank of Scotland
🟣 Halifax
🟢 Lloyds

The special cheque deposit envelopes will be available FREE in the Post Office — just ask me for one.

So if you still receive the occasional cheque (yes, they do still exist! 😂), you’ll once again be able to pop into your local Post Office and deposit it into your account.

📅 Service restarts 1st September 2026

✅ Business accounts
✅ Service confirmed through to December 2030

Another useful banking service returning to your local Post Office. 💚

😂 Apparently these are the new “in thing” — who knew?!

We’ve now got Butter Squishies in plain butter and rainbow 🌈🧈 — super soft and slow rising — £8 each.

And if pretending to squish a block of butter isn’t strange enough 😂 we’ve also got Squeezy Cheese at £12! 🧀

I’m clearly learning what’s cool as the deliveries arrive these days 🤣

Loads of your favourites are back in stock, plus I’ve got some really funny new ones that I haven’t had before!

Tonight’s job is getting this lot priced up 🙈 — all ready to hit the card stand tomorrow morning.

I’ve already had a few giggles reading them while I’m supposed to be working… which isn’t exactly speeding the pricing up! 😂

📮 A little heads-up for Tuesday

I’ll be closing a little earlier than usual on Tuesday, just after the mail collections at around 4pm, so I can attend a routine dental appointment. 🦷

🐾❤️ Next up in my very overdue doggy catch-up… meet Pickles! ❤️🐾

Well, this was pretty much instant love for me. 😂🥰 Just look at that gorgeous face!

And as if being this beautiful wasn’t enough, the name Pickles absolutely finished me off — I LOVE it! 😂❤️

Pickles sat beautifully for her treats and even waited patiently until she was told she could have one. 🐶🐾 Clearly she already knows exactly how to win me over! 😂

Some little visitors just completely make your day, and Pickles definitely made mine. 🥰❤️

What an absolute little beauty! 🐶💕

First up from Thursday… meet Pippin! 🐶

Pippin is 4 years old and popped in to see us on Thursday. Of course, no visit to Tarland Toy Shop & Post Office is complete without a little something from the doggy treat section! 😂

After a bit of consideration, meaty sticks got Pippin’s seal of approval 😋🐾
