This page is designed to provide you with some things that you or a loved one will find useful or (hopefully) amusing in their day to day dealings with Type 1 Diabetes. My name is Carole, and i am a mother with 4 children. In March 2015 my Daughter was sadly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the very young age of 2. Sadly we did not know or recognise the signs, an

d as is similar with so many stories i hear, Maisy had several visits to the doctors before we rushed her into A&E whilst on holiday. Turns out she was in DKA. This has given me a very good insight to the daily battles and needs that we have, either if you have T1 or someone you love does, and im hoping that i can provide things that will ease this, and as mentioned earlier im hoping some of my products can bring amusement to the situation! All items are made or personalised by myself in my little office where i also run my other business, Oscar and Maisy. Thank you

We have a specialist Sticker printer, that prints beautiful, high gloss, waterproof 5cm round stickers on a roll.
Having to manage Type 1 Diabetes and Coeliac, stickers have become really helpful. We use stickers like these when Maisy takes food into school, parties or just out and about. We use our medical Type 1 stickers when travelling (we all know how tricky airports can be!)

How many of you also have Coeliac Disease?
Maisy was diagnosed Coeliac a year after her Type 1 Diagnosis - this one was a total shocker as she was silent and LOVED her pizza and pasta!
Which one do you find harder to deal with? For us i think its the Coeliac, thats the one that separates us out more, think children parties, meals out, school treats - even school lunches (which are now not even catering for her!)
People are often surprised when i say id choose a cure for coeliac over Type 1 - Whats your thoughts?

As most of you will know im a mum to a T1, but i am also a Special Guardian for 2 very important little girls in my life - and i hold the very special privilege of raising them.

Today is Maisy's 9th Diaversay!
I can remember only too well rushing a 2 year old Maisy to hospital, to find out she was seriously ill and then be given this life changing diagnosis of Type 1.
But..... Maisy has not let this affect her, and she is the inspiration behind me creating SimplyT1.
