A little quiet over here lately 🤍

The last couple of months haven’t quite gone how I expected, and I’ve needed some time to slow down, rest and focus on my little family.

But today felt like a little step back into something that brings me so much joy ✨📚

My first pop-up back… with my little sidekick by my side 🐻🤍

Because Books For Curious Cubs has always been about more than just books - it’s about connection, little moments together, and creating something that fits around real life.

I’m so excited to be back sharing book recommendations, school adventures, new releases and all the lovely things happening behind the scenes 📚✨

✨ £820 in FREE BOOKS… for one school 🤍📚

Kenn Church of England Primary unlocked £820 worth of brand new books for their children - all through a Book Fair and Sponsored Read.

And what makes this even more special…
Kenn is a small school - just over 90 pupils.

It’s such a lovely reminder that you don’t need a huge school to make a big impact ✨
Sometimes it’s those smaller communities that create the most magic when it comes to books 🤍

🐉✨ Read this in ONE sitting…

✨📖 Book thoughts: Dragonflare
I read this in one sitting on the flight to Vietnam… such a great read for 7–11 year olds ✈️📚

(Also still not over the fact I didn’t get a photo of the book on Dragon Mountain while I was there… so I’ve photoshopped one instead 😂 - go take a look and tell me if I got away with it!)

I was lucky enough to read an early proof copy before release - one of those little perks of being a partner that I don’t take for granted 🤍📚

This is Jamie Hammond’s second novel, and if you read Grumpfort (which was Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month 👏📚), I have a feeling this one will be just as loved…

What can a school book fair really raise? 👀📚

In March at Kenn Church of England Primary, we’ve had…
✨ children discovering books they’re genuinely excited about
✨ families getting involved in a sponsored read
✨ lots of conversations about reading at home and in school

And alongside all of that… something really powerful happening in the background 💜

Every book chosen helps generate free books for the school - meaning libraries can be topped up, classrooms refreshed, and children given more to fall in love with… without touching the school budget.

It’s one of my favourite parts of what I do - seeing that ripple effect in real time 🤍

I’ll be sharing the total raised very soon… and honestly, it’s a lovely one 📚✨
