☀️ With the warm weather finally getting to us don’t forget about electrolytes and salt. Should we feed both???

Many feed salt as a cheap form of electrolytes but here is the thing 🤔…..

Horses should be fed salt daily regardless, as feed and forage don’t provide enough. Salt is a combination of Sodium and Chloride.

Electrolytes provide Sodium, Chloride PLUS Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium. These are all essential for general well being and prevent your horse from tying up! Excess amounts of these are lost through sweating and therefore ALL need replenishing not just salt 😱🙏🏻
