Certainly been a warm bank holiday weekend with the fishing as expected fairly difficult but not impossible, definitely made a change from cold easterly winds that we have had over the last few weeks.
Although water temperatures are increasing they are still lower than expected this time of year, so catch and release is ok for now 👌
Areators are on and off throughout the day and although not really needed at the moment as O² levels are good too, it does just disperse any floating algae which comes off the bottom.
Water is very clear on Meadow and Lakemoor and amazing to see the many coarse fish in the lakes with the trout, and some good sizes to them too. When we go to any method these will be fantastic sport with many never been hooked.
Those that are fishing with us this next week please avoid fishing for the carp in Cranny as they are spawning at the moment 👍

Another week of cold winds very heavy showers and generally unsettled weather for the time of year, will be nice to get some settled weather and the sun on our backs for a change this week, but I'm sure we will be moaning when its too warm😀

Buzzers dries and spiders kept Stuart catching today returning 10 fish mainly on Meadow again in between the heavy downpours.

Water is very clear on Meadow and Lakemoor so small flies and lighter leaders are a must.

Hopefully be able to stay open a little later into July with the water still on the cool side at the moment 👍

Lots of camper van and hut bookings coming in so please don't leave till the last minute if your thinking of an overnight stay

Cool wind has kept the fish just subsurface although most fish have been taken on dries, best bags yesterday was 11 with some 8s and 9s with a very gusty wind making for difficult casting.

Water temperature still only around 15c so ideal for the time of year, which means plenty of decent fishing yet to come before it warms up to much.

Good to see a few lads from the Tern Valley Vintage Machinery Trust poping in for breakfast yesterday 🚜 our cafe open until 1pm for breakfasts then we can do sandwiches, chips rolls etc from 1pm, open to everyone not just fisher people 😀

A busy weekend just gone, with anglers having mixed results, flylife is incredible at the moment with buzzers, beetles, and mayfly now in abundance, matching the hatch is critical for a successful day, nymphs and dries fished on a floating line in size 14s,16s and 18s have been the most successful 🎣🎣🎣

What a cracking evening at the lakes, plenty of fish moving and feeding hard on beetles and buzzer.
David was top rod with 17 on drys through the day, with Mark returning 15 in a evening session including a nice tiger.

We're fully booked for camper van pitches and shepherds huts tomorrow night but room Sunday and beyond 👍
