WE CANT WAIT UNTIL NEXT MONTH, we have waited two years for this & I for one can’t wait to be back in a field, dressed up like a w***h selling my mustard wares.

The past couple of years have been challenging for everyone, and this has only worsened with the terrible situation in Ukraine.
That being said, we intend to continue with the Festival in the spirit of remembering our history, education, and a celebration of our community.

There will be all the usual attractions including the battle re-enactment, living history displays, a parade through the town, funfair, food and drink stalls, a b**r tent, and a large market with a variety of stalls selling everything from crafts to armour. This year we also bring you demonstrations of Medieval Crafts as part of our anniversary commemorations.

Butchers Block Bromsgrove Serving up a royal treat with Lashford Sausages this jubilee.

This sunday, June 5th, the high Street party takes place in Bromsgrove and the wife and wife team of Butcher's Blick are serving up Buckingham Palace approved sausages, made rightbhere in the west Midlands

Since taking over the premises back in August 2018, the ladies have had a very close relationship with Birmingham's best sausage makers AW Lashford & Sons. Lilith is a huge fan of history and facts and was delighted to find out exactly why the Lashford 'royal' smoked bacon sausage was called just that.

"I can be worse that an inquisitive child at times" states Lilith "just ask Michelle." she laughs. "When I read about the royal sausages, I felt I needed to know more. So here there story goes! When Charles and Diana got married Lashford sent their smoked bacon sausages as a potential present for them to the palace. The palace then officially accepted them as part of their wedding gifts and they became favourite of the Queen Mother, with deliveries going to the palace regularly thereafter! How cool is that?" She adds excitedly.

Lilith serves up their 10 inch Lashford as her 'Royal' hotdog as part of Lil's Baps whenever she does any private or public catering and they are very much on the menu this weekend. The ladies are serving up hot food along with Fludgealicious to provide something sweet for the crowds too.

That's not all Lilith will be cooking up. She is also making up some picnic boxes that are suitable for 2 and priced £10 each. Each one contains.....

A royal Scotch egg, A Lashford sausage roll (both made in store by Lilith and butchers Block is the only place you can get both products) a small pork pie, scratching, bread pudding and a pot of Mustard from the Tewkesbury Mustard Company.

They are serving up food from 11am on Sunday till 4pm with doors open till 5pm.
