Mads & Moodle in Thame, Oxfordshire offers a specialised casting service either in the comfort of your own home (location dependent) or in my home in Thame. We use completely safe materials to take a mould of your baby's feet which takes a short amount of time to complete and apart from being a bit cold should not bother your baby very much at all. We then use this mould to cast plaster replicas which are painted and framed to your unique personalised requirements.

How is your summer going? mine is definitely a bit of a juggle, flitting between spending time with the kids and getting them to places and then fitting work in when I can. Anyone else feeling the struggle? I am doing my very best to get orders completed on time but please be patient with me the summer holidays are really tricky to navigate for parents who are self employed or run their own businesses. 🙏 here are my opening hours for the next few weeks.

My kids have broken up for the long summer break and I will be taking some time off to spend with them. I will be regularly updating my opening hours every few weeks so keep an eye out. I am away this week but back next Saturday and I am planning to open most Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays so will have some availability for appointments. Happy holidays 😎

Timeless and traditional, I’ve changed my framing style a bit over the years and clients are definitely opting for a more classic traditional look at the moment. These keepsakes will be on display for years so it’s great to opt for something that isn’t going to date. I really love this choice of bronze paint finish and an oak frame. 🤍 what do you think? So doesn’t every cast come out absolutely perfect everytime? No is the simple answer and that is why you want an artist with experience. I know all the tricks and have built up my skills over the last decade of life casting to ensure good casts come out of the mould. However there are always still little air bubbles to refine and small holes that need filling. That is where the real skill lies knowing how to do this without it damaging the cast or taking away any of the fine detail. Take a look at the above before and after the skill is being able to refine and repair a cast without it being visible. 💫. -
