A gathering of blue — noun: an entirely unnecessary but irresistible accumulation of blue and white china.

What would you call a collection of blue and white china? I have some lovely pieces to add to my Etsy shop? Might be tempted to keep one or two to add to my gathering collection.

A beautiful antique pottery jug attributed to Clyde Pottery featuring an elegant Oriental-inspired transferware design. This striking piece stands approximately 22cm tall and makes a wonderful decorative display item for collectors of antique British pottery or vintage transferware ceramics.

Clyde Pottery was based in Glasgow, Scotland, and became known during the late 19th century for producing decorative and functional ceramics for the growing middle-class market. Pieces were often inspired by fashionable imported wares and traditional British transfer-printing techniques. Although this jug has no visible backstamp, the style, shape, and decoration are consistent with Clyde Pottery production of the period.

This rabbit duo may not be my typical style, but their sweetness and promise of spring won me over.

A product of the 1980s collaboration between Franklin Mint and Le Cordon Bleu, I think it was meant to adorn walls rather than serve as a mould.

I'm reminded of my childhood and my father, an artist who collaborated with Franklin Mint during the 1980s. Although it's unlikely one of his designs, it still evokes a sense of nostalgia.

As a vintage seller, not all my purchases for my shop make it into Etsy. I can’t resist bringing pieces I love into my own home. From ironstone vases on the windowsill to jugs full of spoons , each item has its own story and I love to make them part of mine.
