A COUPLE OF SPECIAL VISITORS…

We were delighted to welcome Terry Jermy MP - South West Norfolk to Thetford Open Studios on Saturday, followed by Mayor of Thetford, Cllr Vic Peters, and Mayoress Joanne Peters on Sunday.

And they didn't just come along for a photograph!

Terry spent time meeting our artists and makers, exploring the work around the Hall — and even having a go at the spinning wheel during Spinning Saturday.

On Sunday, Vic and Joanne toured the Hall too, chatting with our makers, looking at their work and discovering some of the different techniques and processes behind it.

It was lovely to have the opportunity to show all three of them just how much creativity there is in and around Thetford — and, more importantly, to introduce them to some of the people behind it.

Thank you Terry, Vic and Joanne for taking the time to come and see us.

Our invitation all week was Come & See How It's Made — and they certainly did! 😊

LAST DAY! 💗

Somehow, we've reached the final day of Thetford Open Studios 2026 — and there's still plenty to come and discover.

We're open again today from 11am–5pm, with work from our artists and makers filling Thetford Methodist Hall, people to meet, conversations to have and creative processes to discover.

If you've been meaning to come and see us, today's your last chance.

Have a wander, meet some of the people behind the work, find something that catches your eye — and enjoy our final day with us.

It's been a wonderful few days at our new home, and we'd love to see you before the doors close at 5pm.

SPINNING SATURDAY IS HERE! 🐑

Today we're making a little more of one of the traditional skills that's been part of Thetford Open Studios all week.

Christine Sanderson of Hullabaloo is being joined by fellow spinners today, with more wheels in action, fleece to discover and a tabletop loom too.

Come and watch, ask questions, discover how fleece becomes yarn — and have a go at the spinning wheel yourself.

And that's just part of what's happening around the Hall, with art and making, demonstrations, displays and plenty of people to stop and chat to.

When we said you could have a go… we meant it! 😄

We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Norfolk to Thetford Open Studios yesterday — and it wasn't long before Christine Sanderson of Hullabaloo had him sitting at the spinning wheel and trying it for himself!

And if this has whetted your appetite, Saturday is the day for anyone curious about spinning. 🐑

For Spinning Saturday, Christine will be joined by fellow spinners, with more wheels in action, fleece to discover and a tabletop loom too.

TODAY AT THETFORD OPEN STUDIOS 🎨

Hands at work. Tools being used. Conversations happening. Questions being asked. And plenty to discover as you make your way around the Hall.

And if you want to catch Toni Cross and Becky Morgan, today's the day!

It's your last chance at this year's Open Studios to see Toni demonstrating her willow weaving, and to meet Becky Morgan of The Tulip House and explore her colourful stand of textile work before they both head off to other events this weekend.

Around the rest of the Hall you'll find work from our artists and makers to explore, with demonstrations, making and plenty of opportunities to stop, chat and discover how things are made.
