Today we said goodbye to a house that felt more like a home than any others we have had in the past. Here we watched our two boys grow into teenagers, we watched Lily 🐕 get older, we said goodbye to Kuro 🐈⬛, and after adopting Zoey 🐕 and Bailey 🐕 here, we sadly and unexpectedly said goodbye to them as well. My small business had one of its highest producing years to date here and my quilting community has grown 10 times over here.
As I close my eyes tonight, I recall all the travel, museums, shops, train rides, food, history, quilt shows, school functions, military friends, family visits, Disney Paris and so much more… the amount of love I have for the UK is enormous. I know new adventures await and our next chapter will be made with amazing experiences and memories, it’s just hard to close this chapter.
I hope to come back one day, because when you leave and all your friends are locals and zero of them are military spouses; you know visiting will be like coming home again.
And with that, I am headed to bed, and tomorrow we will be back in the states.
If you’ve made it this far in my emotional late night ramblings, let me know if we’ve had any great memories with each other, in the comments.
Goodbye Uk. I will miss you.
