**EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT**
As we approach the end of the year, we are really excited to make an announcement which we are extremely proud about. After a period of negotiation, our MD, Ben Lord has successfully concluded a deal to acquire the entire aviation photographic library of the world-renowned photographer, Adrian Meredith. Adrian is best known for having been the official photographer for British Airways throughout Concorde's commercial life and has a truly incredible range of unique imagery that has become globally iconic. A classic example of that is in the form of the famous "Four Concorde's" formation that was achieved almost 40 years ago on Christmas Eve 1985.
Ben says "Ever since I first saw Concorde fly at the age of 12, I have been entranced by the magic of the aircraft. I have had the most amazing yet fortunate time over the last 22 years of being associated with Concorde in meeting some of the incredible famous names that make up the Concorde family. For this to have lead to being entrusted with preserving Concorde's legacy that now includes the amazingly prestigous work of Adrian Meredith leaves me feeling sensationally lucky. As a hobby photographer, I have had huge admiration and respect for Adrian's library and to now have the chance of captivating this into its next chapter is a massive privilege for which I am eternally grateful"
In announcing his retirement, Adrian reflects "Following a most amazing and illustrious career, I am pleased to inform that I have completed a sale of my aviation photography business that now means I can finally retire!
Having carefully considered the best fit to ensure both preservation of the photographic legacy created, but also continuity of the business, I am delighted to have concluded a deal with Ben Lord and his company Speedbird Promotions Ltd.
Ben has had very close connections to Concorde since the aircraft’s retirement in 2003 and has championed numerous preservation opportunities over that time. In recognising just how much Ben passionately believes that there must be a collective ensuring that the Concorde legacy is passed on to future generations, and in seeing how he has created a successful, niche business, I could not think of a better person suitably equipped to carry this on into the future. I am enormously grateful to Ben for his studious appreciation in helping me come to this point and thank you all for your support over so many years."
