Watching the solar eclipse tonight? 🌞🌞🌞

Here's a few tips from on how to protect your eyes:
🕶️ Never look directly at the sun without certified solar eclipse glasses or an approved solar viewer
❌ Regular sunglasses aren’t safe, no matter how dark they are
🔭 Don’t use binoculars, telescopes or cameras unless they have the correct solar filter
🌳 No eclipse glasses? Try a safe projection method, such as a pinhole projector, colander or even the gaps between tree leaves (make sure to read up on the right methods!)
👨‍👦Make sure children are supervised while viewing
👓 If you notice blurred or distorted vision afterwards, speak to an optometrist

Thank you to all our amazing customers that support our charity bookshelf, together we raised £408 for the Emmerson Kelsey choking prevention foundation

We were also able to give them a hamper, and a bag of goodies for further fundraising! 😀

💛 Whilst visiting our store over the next few days, you will see this donation station, where you can pick up a pre-filled food donation bag, once purchased it will then get donated to Thirsk Community Care Works. Who will then pass these items to people and families who are most in need in our local area. Bags range around a couple of pounds each, so if you feel you are able to spare this, then add a bag to your shopping, it will be very grateful appreciated 💛
