Welcome to Yorkshire Sitting Pretty; I hope you find something that you like or inspires you. I am an official stockist of Frenchic Furniture Paint; a fantastic environmentally friendly chalk paint. Frenchic comes in 40 beautiful colours and doesn't contain any hidden nasties. It is so easy to use and the results are amazing! I am an enthusiastic up-cycler who enjoys the challenge of creating original, one-off pieces. As well as working on my own furniture I also accept commissions from clients who want a new look for an existing piece of furniture. I have a number of vintage items in my workshop that are ready to be painted but if necessary, I can source items for you. Upholstery is my passion and I enjoy nothing better than rescuing an old chair and giving it a new lease of life! Have a look at my ‘Before & After’ album to give you an idea of what can be achieved with time and patience. I am holding traditional and modern upholstery workshops as an introduction for those wanting to learn the craft. I am also running lampshade making courses. Frenchic workshops coming soon too!! Thank you sooo much for your orders! 🧡 My goodness you kept me busy last night! How happy were you to see the return of those fabulous moulds?! I must admit I did a happy dance when I saw that Boughs of Holly was coming!

Stockists were restricted initially to a very small amount of Holiday Encore moulds that's why I've offered you the chance to pre-order ready for my big top-up delivery next month! 😘

I have quite a few orders that include both in stock items and pre-ordered moulds. I wanted to remind you that, to save you paying extra postage, your complete orders will be sent to you when the moulds arrive in mid - late October. 😘

If you have a spare minute tonight, why not pop onto my website to see a selection of beautiful papers from Whimsykel! 🧡

I'm dipping my toe into the world of large sheet decoupage paper for furniture upcycling. I've been looking around for something extra special for a while and I fell in love with these! They're 21" x 29" and are 18lb paper. Best of all they're made from recycled materials but... the designs are all limited 😬

Let me know what you think of them. I'm eyeing up chests of drawers in my stash that are ready for a face-lift! 🧡

You'll see that the mini flexible grid mounts for your 6" x 6" stamps are finally here too! Hurray! You'll also find lots more lovely IOD goodies that have been out of stock are available again! 🥳

I'm crazy for coasters! Here's a sneaky peeky!🤣

If I don't have time to create something every day it really gets me down - I don't know if you feel the same way. I find that coasters are something that I can do a little bit at a time which is enough to keep me happy! I can paint the coasters one day, apply the papers the next, add the crackle glaze the day after that...and after a few days I have a completed project! 👍

I HAD to use this paper from Asket because, as you know, I love hedgehogs 🦔🦔🦔

I used Pentart Fineline Crackle to add some age and finished the edges of the coasters off with a blend of orange and various browns in acrylic paint. I then added some gold Pentart Antique paste over the top of the paint 🍂🍁

They have turned out to be sooo cute and feel very autumnal. I hope you like the one I'm sharing today!
