It might be nearly a century old, but we’ve got plans to put it to very good use again…

Our Custom Blend Builder lets you create a wool blend that’s completely your own — choosing your fibres, colours, blend size and number of passes.

Everything you choose is picked and processed here at the Wingham mill, bringing your selection together into your own custom blend.

And this week, blending is just £1 per pass, per 500g, plus the cost of your chosen fibres — saving you up to £5 per 500g on our usual blending charges.

Choose from one to four passes, depending on how thoroughly blended and consistent you’d like the finished fibre to be.

Perhaps it’s time to revisit a favourite combination… or see what happens when you try something completely new.

So, we’ve made things a little easier.

Our new Merino Colour Browser lets you explore the Wingham Wool Merino range all in one place — search for particular colours, compare shades and put together your own palette without having to open product after product.

And when you’ve made your choices, you can select your 50g or 100g portions and add them all to your basket from the same page.

Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for, you’re trying to find just the right shade, or you simply fancy a bit of colour inspiration, we hope it makes browsing our rather enormous Merino range much easier!

What a fabulous first day at the Southern Wool Show! 🧶💚
It’s been so nice to see so many familiar faces, meet lots of new ones, and spend the day surrounded by people who love wool as much as we do.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Wingham Wool stand today — whether you came for a chat, a squish of fibre, or went away with a bag (or two!) of something lovely.
We’ll be back tomorrow, with plenty more wool waiting for you. See you for Day 2! 🐑

And just like that, it’s starting to feel like the Southern Wool Show!

We’re nearly ready for tomorrow in Newbury, with plenty of wool and fibre, Ashford wheels and looms, Wingham equipment and lots of other favourites packed onto the stand.

Wingham Wool will be at the Southern Wool Show in Newbury next week!

We’ll be bringing a great selection of our 21 Micron Dyed Merino, natural British wools, Ashford wheels and looms, Wingham equipment and plenty of other favourites.

✨ NEW FOR THIS YEAR – ORDER ONLINE & COLLECT AT THE SHOW ✨

Following requests from customers, you can now place your order through our website in advance and collect it from our stand at the Southern Wool Show.

Simply order as normal and select Southern Wool Show Collection at checkout. We’ll get everything together beforehand and have it waiting for you in Newbury.

It’s particularly handy if there’s something specific you’d like to make sure we bring with us – or if you’d simply rather spend less time shopping and more time enjoying the show.

If you’d like to use this service, please order early. There’s a limit to how many collection orders we can prepare, transport and store on the stand, so we may need to close the option early if demand is particularly high.

And, of course, you’re very welcome to simply come and shop with us on the day. 🐑

Whether you’re collecting an order, stocking up on fibre, having a look at equipment or just stopping by for a chat, we’d love to see you in Newbury!

Packing has officially begun for the Southern Wool Show! 🧶🚐

And, as always, the wool goes in first…
We’ve started loading the van with plenty of colour ready for the weekend, with lots more still to squeeze in.

We’ll be bringing a huge selection of fibres, our Wingham equipment range, Ashford Wheels and Looms equipment, Kraftkolour dyes and plenty more.

Looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces (and hopefully some new ones too!) at the Southern Wool Show🐑 ❤️

From plumage colours to fibre. 🤎🧶

Rich chestnuts, warm coppers and soft golden tones, inspired by the familiar colours of pheasants seen across the British countryside.

Here, those individual shades are brought together to create our Pheasant Merino & Silk blend, with the silk adding a beautiful, gentle sheen to the finished fibre.

It's always satisfying watching a blend come to life.
