So update…having spoken to a few people and done a bit of research I spoke to my mental health nurse, telling her that Sertraline was a hard pass but maybe Mirtazapine might be an option? To be told that it’s a last case scenario…so now I’m being offered Venlafaxine or Paroxetine, but Zopiclone immediately for every other day (a week supply) to try and reset my sleep…I’m leaning towards Venlafaxine because paroxetine belongs to the same drug class as sertraline…🧙‍♀️🌿

I just want to say a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has shown concern and compassion for me regarding my (brief) trial (and subsequent noping out) of sertraline. Reading all your experiences really does help me feel less alone and I hope you get the same from my silly little posts. Sometimes I worry that I share too much of myself on here but I’m not interested in giving you guys a social media curated view of me and my business, and I really think this little community I’ve cultivated has brought me through some tough times, so thank you 🧙‍♀️🌿

Guys, I don’t think sertraline is for me, after one tablet I was so sick I thought I was having a heart attack…I had no anxiety about taking them so it’s not that and I can’t take omeprazole or any meds in that family as I have osteoporosis in my spine….so I will not be attempting to take them again (I know you guys said it gets better but I honestly thought I’d be blue lighted last night). A few of you mentioned duloxetine, I tried that one but again it messed me up, I couldn’t eat for a week straight, it was miserable and didn’t get better. I also just want to say I also have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and functional neurological disorder and managed to wean myself off meds earlier this year (I was on amitriptyline, Pregabalin and propranolol) so now manage my conditions as naturally as I can and I’m finding that works well for me 🧙‍♀️🌿

Ahh what an interesting week it’s been! Following on from an official diagnosis of BPD (or whatever they are calling it these days) I am now to start anti-depressants… I was pretty resistant to this but here’s to hoping they even me out a bit 🧙‍♀️🌿
