Hello old customers, Well what excitement! As you probably know Sanday hit the nationals and the BBC with Alfie's find of the shipwreck. The BBC had 530,000 hits on the news report in the first 12 hours! I have been speaking with a chap who has written and studied historical ship and due to a few key design quirks it is possible that it dates to the 1700s from around 1650, but most likely within the rain of Elizabeth the first! It is looking very hopeful, and is gaining protection whilst further investigation continues. As Ned photo bombed the BBC he will only speak to people through his press secretary 😉 x

We've been beavering away doing our winter deep-clean & redecorate and incorporating lots of lovely upgrades to Backaskaill Farmhouse for 2023. We'll give you some sneek peeks soon. Today we got our annual delivery of brand new crisp white bed linen incuding super-deluxe new duvets, down-like pillows and floating on air matress toppers - so you'll sleep like a baby, guaranteed!

To celebrate the Farmhouse being season-ready so soon, we're about to launch a winter long-weekend offer (Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday) includes early checkin and late checkout. The farmhouse sleeps up to 7 guests (king; double/triple; single/twin) and all for £500. Bookings made on our website from today onwards qualify for the reduction which will be deducted from the total. (bookings made through booking websites do not qualify)

Hello everyone and a happy new year! Well everything is going very well on Sanday. I know many of you were interested in staying on Sanday.
