A must-visit for all sewing enthusiasts, Heathcoat Fabrics retail shop is situated onsite at the Heathcoat Fabrics factory in Tiverton, Devon. We have four rooms dedicated to all aspects of Soft furnishing, Dressmaking, Crafts and Haberdashery, and a team of very experienced staff who can assist in your choices. From curtains for your whole house to bunting for your wedding decorations (and fabrics for your wedding dress), we are happy to help! Our first room is dedicated to soft furnishings, where we stock a huge range of designs from Voyage, Villa Nova, Clarke and Clarke, Swatchbox and many more. We also have two rooms of dressmaking fabrics, from everyday wear to bridal and prom. We are stockists of James Hare, Makower, John Louden, Carrington and many more. Our Haberdashery department houses everything you need to complete your project, from buttons and zips to linings and interfacings. We carry pattern catalogues from Butterick, New Look, Simplicity, McCalls and Vogue. We are stockists of Elna sewing machines and overlockers, to create your projects with! We also offer an in-house, made-to-measure curtain and loose cover making service, including free house visits to measure up. *** Poppy Help Needed! ***

Remembrance poppy season is fast approaching again and we need a little help.

Last year we were left with approx 500 spare crocheted poppies that didn’t make it to the display at St Peter’s (some arrived too late, some were on display in the Hub window)

This year we would like to add them to the church display by wiring them to stems to poke in the ground. It’s an easy, but time-consuming job!

If anybody would be able to help us we would be very grateful, we’ll be holding drop in sessions in the retail shop between 10am-3pm on the following dates

Friday 2nd October
Tuesday 6th October
Friday 9th October

Stay and make as many as you wish! Please bring your own pliers. We’ll even provide hot drinks for the volunteers 😊

This week we’re making handy felt bookmarks, follow our designs or create your own!
Everyone is welcome, but this craft does use very sharp needles, so we’ll leave it to ‘parental judgement’ as to what ages are suitable!

Drop in anytime, you don’t need to be there at the start time 😊

Each Friday throughout the summer holidays, we will be running mini drop-in workshops.

This week we’re making a different style of friendship bracelet using a circular loom (ignore the cardboard one in the pic, we have nicer ones for you to use!) plus the usual selection of beads! It’s very easy once you get going!

Thankyou to everyone who dropped in to make pipecleaner flowers today, they all looked brilliant! Around twenty were made in the two sessions, and by the sounds of it, many more were going to be made at home afterwards!
