A lovely delivery today! ✨

Our wonderful fused glass artist, Kath’s Kiln Fused Glass Art, has just dropped off a fresh delivery, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you.

There’s something so lovely about receiving new pieces from our stockists, especially when you know the person behind the work and the care that goes into making it.

The little things are often the biggest things. 🤍

Since opening the doors to our new home, I’ve found myself noticing all the little details that make The Green Door feel so special.

From the sign above the door to the counter my husband Matt built for me, the beautiful mosaic made by Holly Hockey , and all the wonderful independent businesses filling the shelves…

It’s so much more than just a shop.

It’s the conversations, the discoveries, the beautiful things, and watching people find something they absolutely love.

I’m still pinching myself that this is our everyday now. 🥹💚

I mean, just LOOK at them! 😍

We’ve got some absolutely adorable new arrivals at The Green Door Emporium, and I think these little Highland cows might just be one of the cutest things we’ve had in the shop!

With their gorgeous tweed outfits, shaggy hair and those lovely little horns, they’re full of character and make the sweetest addition to any home. 💚

And yes… they’re doorstops! How lovely would one of these look in your home? 🥹

A little shout-out to some of the brilliant local businesses who helped bring The Green Door to life. 💚

First up, Ken White Signs, who created our beautiful new shop sign.

I absolutely love it. It’s one of those things that makes the whole shop feel like ours and I think it looks amazing above the door.

And something I didn’t realise until recently… Ken White Signs are approaching their 50th birthday next year! How incredible is that? Nearly five decades of serving local businesses. What a milestone.

Then there was the small matter of getting it up there…

So thank you to Matt (my husband!) and Richard from Core Landscape & Construction for fitting it for us.

They are truly brilliant at taking an idea and turning it into something real — particularly when it comes to gardens and outdoor spaces. If you’re looking to transform your garden, bring a vision to life or just make better use of your outdoor space, they’re definitely worth knowing about.

It feels really special to have so many local businesses involved in this new chapter of The Green Door.

And I think that’s one of my favourite things about running an independent business — local businesses supporting local businesses.

There are so many talented people around us doing brilliant things. 💚
