Call for artists

Do you have work that you are proud of but no longer represents you?

Or do you need to sell work in order yo fund a new direction?

for wall mounted and 3d work £10 submission fee and £5 for any subsequent pieces.

Any prints for display in print browsers will not be subject to a fee

ALL work sold will be 20% commission for non members and 10% for members of Todmorden Art Group

(annual fee for membership is £12 and can be joined at the time you deliver your work)

It isn't even the end of February and I am not going to lie I am already burned out. I need tips from the fellow broken folk the soloprenurs with kids and life juggling to do who worry too much. Where are my people at!

I have a number of physical and mental chronic conditions that I juggle (I speak more about these on my personal account )

Managing those is juggle enough but life can be a tricky fu**er at times as well.....

So many things that were supposed to be done by now are jot and my focus is split in many ways and I feel like all things are priority 1 and they kinds are.

Here is part of a kit that should be launched by now.

Ps. Have you noticed if I big firm like Microsoft are really late on a launch and then they release it with loads of errors it doesn't matter but lone businesses are screwed????

I am obsessed with paper and books they are like babies.....bare with me I have a theory.

People like babies even if they look at them for just a minute because babies are potential. In an often chappy world they are untouched by the bu****it and have the potential to be anything. And that is wonderful.

A black sheet of paper or an empty book has that similar vibe. It is a thing of beauty because it hold the potential of all things.

The tactility of books is what keeps me making them.

I made this set of 4 seasonal notebooks for anyone like me who loves to make little drawings and write notes as I explore nature throughout the year.

I thought I would continue to promote other independent businesses.

is hands down the best place. I have always shopped from them online or when they visit fairs but recently I went to Kendal and it felt like a pilgrimage (an hour up the road but still)

They sell all manner of craft items from yarn to fabric and books.....speaking of

Sarah is now 4 books deep in the creation of the world of Luna Lapin. A few years ago I made Alfie and Reynard (swipe to see). I wrote a series of children's stories about the characters. They are the favourite toys so Sarah helped me to craft memories and family heirlooms
