Monumental day in the shop: WHEATY HAS RETURNED TO THE UK! Including the Space bar (Chorizo snacker, £1.55), Gran Chorizo (£7.38) and most importantly; Vegan Hot Dogs (£2.96)!
The popular Taifun Tofuweiners have been unavailable for roughly 6 months so it is fabulous to have an excellent substitute available.

So...

The crowdfunder is coming to an end!

At the time of writing there are 5 days left but this will drop down to 4 in a few hours time ⏳

It is currently at 36% of the target total achieved. This equates to £1,843 - a total I am absolutely delighted with already and for which I would like to once again say a HUGE thank you to the 47 lovely people that have donated so far. I am so, so grateful for your continued support.

Some more numbers... 📊

I have been running the service again now for 8 weeks.

136 deliveries have been made in that time.

43 post office runs.

54 veg boxes.

57kg of soap.

1,770 eggs.

7 transcountinental races.

11 local businesses signed up to the service.

5 (please let's get this figure up!) individuals using me for regular personal deliveries for supermarket shops, garden centre collections, bread delivery, prescription collections, parcel pick ups, and dog food delivery.

It's been a slog - I am working so hard at this, and most of that time and effort hasn't even been on the bike! I am absolutely loving doing it again though, it really is a joy providing this service for the local community, and I'm so proud and privileged to have you back it so that I can continue to try and grow and sustain the business. Thank you again!! 🤗🫶

So, now for the final push! (pun intended...) 🚵‍♂️

Every single donation however big or small will be a massive help towards me keeping this going. I'm sure people are beginning to tire (pun not intended) of me plugging it now and I am absolutely sick to death of doing it myself! I'm really looking forward to just cracking on with making this as successful as possible, getting more people on board and repaying the faith and generosity of the wonderful community that have backed the venture by providing you with the excellent service you all deserve.

*Update on "The Willows" purchase.* Do you remember back in the New Year when we had a crowdfunder to enable us to buy the "Willows" building over the road from us? Ancient history I know but it has just come to light that we were given entirely the wrong information by the then owners and we weren't gazumped after all! All very weird and upsetting at the time but we have moved on and are looking at new plans now. However, it does mean that the new owners of the building bear no blame for what happened and have asked us to make this clear, which we are happy to do. We wish them well in their new enterprise. Sally and the Tod Almighty team.

Help support Alex in making Cargodale 2.0 a permanent service for the community!

We've been so happy Alex has resurrected Cargodale this year -- managing our weekly veg box deliveries.

Whilst he's been able to get started with support of some existing local partnerships and the loan of a bike, he's asking for help with the chunkier costs of securing his own cargo bike plus the storage costs alongside the insurance and maintenance needed to keep things going.

The Gelato Bros vegan choc ices have arrived! Of course it was our duty to try them - and we can report they are really very good! Three varieties, cookie dough, pistachio baklava and salted peanut butter, these new choc ices are little creamy chocolaty chunks of heaven on a hot day. They come in boxes of 4 for £7.60 and we sell them individually for £1.95.

It's World Refill Day! Over the years our customers have saved thousands of plastic bottles going into landfill by refilling their empty bottles again and again. Magnify this worldwide and it really makes a huge difference! We are so happy to be part of this process. We've recently started stocking more of the 5litre bottles of the faith shampoos etc and the household detergents so it is easier for you to refill your smaller bottles at home. Then if you bring the empty 5litre bottle back to refill from our big 20litre barrels then you get 10%off! Save money AND plastic!
