One year ago today, Cocoa Bothy sold its very first box online.

Back then it was a kitchen table, a wild little idea, and absolutely no clue where it might lead.

One year later, we’ve had sell-out Sunday drops, pop-ups, a dedicated workshop, the loveliest customers, a few very pinch-me moments, and a tiny Bothy we’re so nearly ready to share with you.

So this weekend’s box is a proper little throwback.

A bit nostalgic. A bit emotional. Still very snackable.

Yesterday at The Strathdearn Spring Fayre was the perfect reminder of how special this little chocolate adventure has become. We brought our biggest bar selection to date and the love was huge. Honestly, Tomatin, you were magic.

We also have just one or two 1791 Selection Boxes left, and our Bothy Selection Boxes are back in stock too, ready for gifting, thank-yous, birthdays, or quiet little “this is for me actually” moments.

Next week, Cocoa Bothy turns one. ONE. 🥹🍫

A whole year since our very first box went online and we sat there refreshing the orders like excited little chocolate gremlins.

Back then, we had no idea where it would lead. From the kitchen table, to our own dedicated workshop, pop-ups, sell-out drops, and more exciting stuff in the pipeline.

So this week’s birthday box is a little love letter to that first ever release.

Let’s dive in to the Cocoa Bothy 1791 pantry box - now in stock online!

This week, we wanted to honour an important era… we’ll reveal more on the 18th century and why this is inspiring us in a couple of weeks…

For flavour inspiration, we looked back at the Highland larder - hedgerows and wild bushes studded with dark berries, fields of oats transformed into baked goods and fuelling early risers and illicit distilled whisky, keeping spirits high!

Our latest box drops tomorrow 🍫

A proper little mix of Cocoa Bothy new flavours (inspired by the 1791 larder), and including our first Hall of Fame bar… Designed by Melody, made by us, and finally getting its moment.

And a little reminder…

Next weekend we’ll be at Spring Fayre with a big selection of Bothy Bars. Loads of flavours, plenty of chocolate, and hopefully a few familiar faces too.

THE 1791 PANTRY - The full line-up is here.

This Sunday’s drop is inspired by the flavours of an old Highland pantry. Think oats, honey, fruit, apples, creaminess, caramel, comfort… and one bar chosen by you.

A little step back in time, with a very Cocoa Bothy amount of indulgence.

Inside the box:
Highland Raspberry Cranachan
Raspberry white chocolate ganache, raspberry pieces and whisky honey oatie crumble, wrapped in Belgian white chocolate.

Bramble & Heather Honey Caramel
A dark hedgerow fruit caramel with a touch of golden honey, wrapped in Belgian chocolate.

Apple Butter Oatie Crumble
Apple soft caramel and white chocolate oatie biscuit crumble. Cosy, buttery, pudding-like behaviour.

The Hall of Fame Bar: Cornflakes & Milk
Creamy milk ganache and golden cornflake crunch, chosen by Melody Rose Watson for the Cocoa Bothy Hall of Fame.

The 1791 Pantry drops this Sunday at 10am.

And yes… 1791 matters. 😉
