Home of our Strings and Dreams scented candles, handmade in-store. Spindrift is located on the Main Street of Tomintoul, opposite the main village car park.

Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms, Spindrift of Tomintoul is a cosy independent gift shop offering Scottish gifts, books, jewellery, homeware, fine art prints & outdoor wear. We stock a wide range of Scottish and other gifts to suit all budgets, as well as a large range of books and maps, cards, jewellery and ceramics. In our gallery we have an interesting selection of art originals and prints (framed or mounted). We also stock a range of outdoor clothing and accessories from the likes of Keela, Targetdry, Buff and Trekmates, as well as a range of quality clothing, bags and headwear.

🍂 A little September update from Spindrift

We’ll be closed from 3rd–11th September, reopening on Saturday 12th September at 10am.

But we’re not exactly putting our feet up… 😊

We’re heading to Birmingham for Autumn Fair, where we’ll be exhibiting our Strings and Dreams collection and introducing our candles to buyers from across the UK — hopefully finding some lovely new shops for them to call home.

And while we’re there, we’ll also be on the other side of the stands, searching for new suppliers, new products and a few special finds to bring back to Spindrift. 👀

When we return, we’ll be moving into our September opening hours:
Open daily from 10am to 4pm

Thank you for such a busy summer in Tomintoul. We’ll see you again on Saturday, the 12th at 10am — hopefully with lots of new ideas for Spindrift! 🍂

✨ We're so excited to share something truly special with you!

We've partnered with our friends at Jackton Art to create an exclusive collection celebrating the heart of our beautiful village.

David has worked his magic to produce a stunning bespoke artwork of Tomintoul Square, capturing one of the village's most recognisable views in his distinctive style. From this beautiful design we've created a collection of mounted prints, coasters, magnets and ceramic hanging decorations.

The best part? You won't find this design anywhere else – it's available exclusively at Spindrift of Tomintoul and on our website.

Whether you're looking for a keepsake from your visit, a thoughtful gift, or a little reminder of our wonderful village, we hope you'll love this collection as much as we do.

We think it’s safe to say the sporran apron has found its rightful owner! 😄

We had a fantastic visit from this lovely customer today, who enjoyed a good chat in the shop before deciding he couldn’t leave without taking the sporran apron home.
