The Torquay Market is no longer running.
The Hall has not been made available since Covid.
A Council decision.
The Fleamarket ran for 38 years in the assembly Hall on a Thursday & was a great success enjoyed by many stall holders & customers .
We wish all our stall holders, customers & friends all the best in the future.

A Merry Christmas to all our friends & customers who visited the Market over so many years.
Our Christmas Fleamarket was always a lot of fun & very popular.
Still no update from the council so unlikely now to reopen ,at least with Tim myself running it.
A sign of these strange times ,as shops close & human interaction is reduced. The Market was always a positive social occasion & offered that opportunity for a mix of bargain hunting & a chat with some fellow humans. Many of the stallholders were so good at there stall displays & there smiling interactions with the public. Of course there was the occasional grumble !!!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & all the best in the New Year.
Stay strong in these troubled times.
Tim.

Town Hall continues to be closed for rentals so no market on a Thursday. Visited Hall today & was reminded of the wise words on the entrance. Torquay can be both beautiful & rather sad .Argos has now departed higher Union street & replaced by job centre .Many great memories at the Market & thanks to all those who had stalls & visited .

18/08/2021

The Market is closed as the Hall has been made unavailable by the council due to Covid storage needs. We do not know how long this will be for. Really sorry as it has been a long time missing now & many of you have expressed your disappointment .

Unfortunately the Thursday Market is still not opening as the council continue to use the Hall.
