Important Announcement from the Museum Director
In common with many businesses, this year has been very difficult for the Museum and in order to keep welcoming visitors we will be implementing some changes in the new year. To keep our costs down we will be ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐๐ค - ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐๐ฒ. This is not a decision taken lightly and we will keep this under review.
We are going to be ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฐ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ to give our now reduced staff the time to build a new way of working and planning for future projects to help us survive financially. Regrettably, we are very sorry to lose some valuable members of the team, but believe that the new structure and business plan will help us to secure the longer term future.
Whilst organisational change is difficult we now have great confidence in a solid foundation so that we can continue looking after our amazing collections and deliver a diverse programme for everyone to enjoy.
