Today is the last Sunday opening for a while at Mrs Lovell's. We are giving ourselves a little quality time together, not talking shop, and recharging our batteries ready for the next seasonal push. I anticipate opening Sundays again from 22nd November. The overtly HoHoHo stock will appear in store at some point early October, but we are already stacked to the rafters with great gift ideas if you are looking early to spread the expense. A huge thank you to all our customers who have supported us. It does mean the world to us ♥️

Today I have set up a SALE table.
After a late evening yesterday building new shelving and re-dressing the window, we have a number of items that have suffered bleaching whilst in the window for the previous display. The contents are unaffected, but the packaging is looking a little washed out. Come in and see if you can pick up a bargain.

Part 1: New stock
After putting a few extra hours in last night after closing, we managed to wriggle enough space for the new stock. We were literally like kids in a toy shop, getting so excited unpacking everything. I know what my favourites are. Comment below to let me know your favourites.

Things are about to get interesting. The first of two deliveries this week of seasonal stock has just arrived 😲🌲🎅, and trying to fit it all in to our lovely little shop is going to be a challenge. A new shelving unit is on its way, but I think we will need a miracle to create the space we need. Wish me luck today, as I am currently hiding behind lots of boxes 📦 😄

After a very busy day with both shops open and a shared stall on the downs at Babbacombe Fair, it was lovely to unwind and have a laugh over dinner at I Am Thai Restaurant. Thank you to Keran, Toñi, Marcus and Ethan for the help today. Thank you to Chris and Rosa for a fantastic meal, as always. They always go out of their way to accommodate a number of fussy eaters 😊

More new stock has arrived this week, which is always exciting (for me, anyway 😁)
The long awaited Double Nine dominoes, which I have had a few enquiries about, are great if you want to take your domino game to the next level. Like regular dominoes, but with tiles up to 9 dots rather than the normal 6.
Bath toys are a daily request, so these adorable squirters can team up with the bath boats to make for a fun filled bathtime.
I just love these snuggables (suitable from birth), so I am pleased to introduce giraffe to join rabbit and fox in the small cuddly range.
(And, of course, we have restocked on dumplings).

More new stock has arrived. We now have squishy dumplings in both glitter and chunky glitter styles. We also have these lovely small squishy animals at a very affordable pocket money price, with lots of different ones to collect.
Babbacombe is the perfect place to visit. There are many independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The downs are a lovely place to relax and take in the breathtaking views. We have the beautiful Oddicombe beach, complete with cliff railway, and the quaint picturesque Babbacombe beach too. With The Model Village, Bygones and Kents Cavern all a stone's throw away too, there is something for everyone. 😍

Yesterday's delivery saw the return of the very popular Flapping duck wooden push along, suitable from 12+ months. The last batch of these waddled away very quickly. New in stock is the equally adorable Flapping dinosaur. Children and adults alike love these Flapping feet toys. We have also added a wonderful wooden Kendama (catching cup), if you are looking for a new skill to practise.
