Just driven past the Totnes & District Agricultural Show Show Ground and it's all taking shape now. Totnes Show is such a wonderful family day out and such a celebration of all things local!!

Its a busy one for us personally with my two girls entering the children's arts and crafts, my nephew showing his lamb for the first time, mum judging, Books by the River sponsoring books as prizes for the Children's Entries and of course having our stand in the Lifestyle tent!

We've doubled the size of our stall which means double the amount of books to choose from!! Make sure you come and see us! πŸ’™

The Totnes Summer Book Hunt has some amazing fiction included in it this year. These books will have your children totally gripped!! New this year are the aged stickers. I thought it important to have these say 9 years + as some of the content in these books may be tricky and spark some conversations at home.

Shrapnel Boys - set at the time of World War 2, this book teaches our young people so much. The story of two brothers going through their own troubles alongside the war. As an adult, I was completely captivated by this book and couldn't put it down, a few tears were shed too!!

Heart Seer - in a world of magic, the Heart Seer has a big role to play but are others forgetting how important it is? Imaginations will run wild as our young people create images in their mind as they read this book. This book made me jump from some scary creatures, made me try and predict the ending with no success and made me cheer on the Heart Seer so much!!

The train to Impossible Places - an adventure through different worlds centred around friendship, problem solving and determination. This book is full of fun but has its fair share of tricky moments, lump in your throat moments and I wonder what moments!! A great first book of a trilogy so if your child likes this one, check out books 2 and 3!!
