We’re opening the doors to The Orchard Carving Studio next week for Devon Open Studios!

Come and visit us from Tuesday 15th – Saturday 19th September and take a look inside the working studio of woodcarver William Barsley - Ornamental Woodcarver .

Find us in the Devon Open Studios brochure as PS24 and follow the signs around the site.

On William’s bench at the moment are several fascinating commissions in progress, including a hand-carved chess set and the early stages of a huge walnut coat of arms. It’s a great opportunity to see the carving process up close and discover what goes into creating a piece from start to finish.

Bring your surplus apples to The C***r Press Centre, Dartington on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September, 10am - 3pm, and Orchard Drinks will press them into fresh juice for you to take home. Bring your own container, or purchase one on the day for a small charge.

This September, come and check out the Vintage, Upcycled & Makers Market at the C***r Press Centre in Dartington. Organised by Miss Ivy Events, this pop-up market brings together an eclectic mix of independent traders selling everything from original art, ceramics, glass and jewellery to vintage and retro clothing and homewares, sustainable gifts, textiles, upcycled pieces and locally produced food and drink.

Our monthly community carving event and sharpening service is back this Saturday the 1st August at The C***r Press Centre alongside the amazing Dart Market. If you fancy giving woodcarving a try then now's your chance. We'll be open 11am - 3pm for anyone to come and have a go.

Steve from Mac the Knife will be sharpening throughout the day too - kitchen knives, garden sheers, carpentry chisels... you name it he can do it! Steve is local, so can leave your tools with him and collect them at a future date.
