Relocation officially finished, you can now find me full time working from my new workshop in Totnes, Brook House Workshops, TQ9 6DJ.
I have also updated my website and put a detailed way to find the workshop from both north and south access.

This morning (very early) I was live with John Acres in the Breakfast Show talking about the life of a violin maker and life as a foreigner living in lovely Devon.
Hopefully this reaches out to more musicians out there.

Proud to support the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, there is still one date to catch them playing at Tavistock Festival on the 27th of April !
Also very much looking forward to their summer programme with the epic Sibelius - Finlandia !

This week the last commissioned instrument left the workshop picked up by its new owner.
This one was a special one to work on as, it has been fully designed to be as easily to play as possible as the customer suffers from arthritis, everything has been thought to ease its playability, starting with reducing the body size to 7/8th (349mm body length), fingerboard inclinaison towards the playing hand, minimum elevation of neck and fingerboard, thin fingerboard, relieving 'unnecessary' weight of the instrument etc
I am hoping to be able to post a sound clip of it sometimes soon as it is a very good sounding violin, sounding full despite its small size able to fill up the space, rich and balanced.
