This student cornet was brought into our East Midlands Music Shop. . In Warmington with all the slides seized and needing sorting ready for a student's upcoming Grade Exam. All the slides have been safely extracted and now moving as smooth as an otter. We've also straightened out the creases in the bell free of charge as we recognise that it is important for youngsters to have an instrument that looks great and keeps their interest in brass playing.

Quite an unusual repair this week... a brass horse with a broken leg! Fitted a brass pin to keep the leg together and soldered back in place. Customer was delighted to have it fixed.

We have been known for many years as the go-to supplier for brass parts. Now that we have invested in a 3d printer we are able to rapid manufacture unobtainable parts like this valve guide for an odd besson 600 cornet which is very similar to a Getzen Eterna that we have been able to use and adapt to CAD draw a special part to help keep another instrument destined for the scrap heap alive. The service we now offer to the brass band community is totally unique and something we are proud to have diversified into.

We have also been working very hard on producing pre1983 Sovereign tuba "polo mint" guides and also plastic threaded screw in (tacquet) guides for Imperial / New Standard bass and euphonium.

Sometimes it is the little things that are the most important!
