Sometimes the best ideas aren’t planned.

A few weeks ago, I moved my little gift shop into another shop just up the road. Instead of two separate spaces, you’ll now find beautiful homeware, thoughtful gifts, candles, vintage finds and handmade pieces all under one roof.

I genuinely think it’s a wonderful collaboration. We each bring something different, but together we’ve created a space that’s bigger, warmer and so much more inspiring than any of us could have done alone.

Things I do when the shop is closed… 👀

Running a little shop doesn’t stop when I lock the door.

It’s sourcing vintage finds, unpacking deliveries, designing bespoke orders, walking my four-legged supervisor, and constantly searching for products that deserve a place on our shelves.

The last one is probably the hardest.

I’d love us to become the kind of shop where you discover things you wouldn’t find in every garden centre or chain store. That means seeking out small makers, independent artists and unusual finds that are worth the hunt.

Slowly, we’re getting there. 🤍

I’ve been hiding these little Match Pot Mini Toby Jugs all around the new shop while we’re getting set up. Pretty sure Louise wasn’t impressed 😄

They’ve been keeping us company though during the move… and now they’re looking for new homes.

Over the last couple of days, I moved out of my little shop and into a space within another shop just up the road.

It wasn’t really part of the vision when I started last year, but in life the best opportunities come unexpectedly

Sharing a space means longer opening hours, more time to work on all the other ideas I’ve been putting off, and finally the chance to host workshops and community events.

Same little business. Just a little more room to grow. 🤍

I hope to see you all there soon - I won’t be in the shop every day anymore, but I will be there this Saturday 😍

No stunt doubles. No air conditioning. Just me getting everything ready for our new home.

We’re closed this week because we’re busy moving into our new home on the High Street.
