At Coast & Country Crafts and Quilts we specialise in patterns for applique, patchwork, dolls, bags, and much more from around the world, with all the accessories you will need to complete them. We also sell a delightful range of gorgeous fabrics, books, kits, notions, and novelty buttons, dolls and Santa’s hair and accessories, threads, wire hangers of many shapes and sizes; must-have gifts and equipment for every stitcher-- everything you could need to put a special finishing touch on your project. We offer a fast and efficient, personalised mail order service; if the item is in stock we aim to dispatch it within 48 hours, or order it for you from our wholesalers if the item is out of stock. These include workshops in patchwork, quilting, bears and dolls, bags, cushions, stitcheries, and embroidery. We also run "block of the month" programmes where customers subscribe to receive the pattern and materials to put together a beautiful quilt or wallhanging over a series of months. These can be pieced together at monthly workshops held for subscribers, or in the comfort of your own home! Coast & Country Crafts and Quilts began life as a mobile shop in 2003, when founder Sally Snapes would load her car with baskets of fat quarters and patterns and travel around Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset, making regular visits to village halls and community centres, where she set up shop for crafters and quilters to come and enjoy browsing and shopping at their leisure. In Spring 2008, Coast & Country Crafts and Quilts was also established as an online shop, enabling customers around the globe to shop for all the delightful products that we have to offer at any time. In December 2009, we opened our new country store opened its doors at Cornish Garden Nurseries, Barras Moor Village, Perranarworthal; between Truro and Falmouth on the A39 (accessed from the big lay-by). Sally & the girls look forward to welcoming you all and helping you to indulge your "quilty pleasures"! "Seeing Coast & Country Crafts and Quilts into its second decade is a dream come true; being able to work surrounded by beautiful fabrics and patterns, and to see the pleasure it gives our friends/customers when they visit our store and website is really wonderful.

We're hiring! 🧵✂️

Do you know your fat quarters from your ¼" foot? Can you tell a jelly roll from a layer cake at twenty paces? Then we'd love to hear from you!

Coast and Country Crafts & Quilts is looking for a part-time team member to join us at the Craft Barn and help with everything that goes on here, from the shop and online orders to our busy café and workshops.

You'll be:
✂️ Helping customers choose fabrics and find the right haberdashery
🪡 Cutting fabric, packing web orders and keeping the shop looking lovely
☕ Lending a hand in our busy café when needed
🎨 Helping prep for our craft workshops and tidying up afterwards
📦 Organising, tidying and generally keeping the barn running smoothly
🧵 Sharing your love of quilting and sewing with everyone who walks through the door

You'll need:
💛 Solid quilting knowledge (you'll get asked some tricky questions!)
💛 A friendly, can-do attitude
💛 Confidence using a till and computer
💛 Availability 2–3 days per week, including some Saturdays and bank holidays
