We had this lovely Nissan Navara in for a Thinkware dash cam installation. We went for a F790 front and rear dash cam. With the rear camera, we used a 3d printed bracket, which clips under the boot rubber. Customer also wanted to be able to see if anyone scratched the side of the vehicle. So, opted for Thinkware’s multiplier box, to enable you to add more cameras. We then added 2 side cameras, so he had full view around the car.

We went out to one of our customers, daughter’s car, as they wanted a CarPlay unit. We installed the ever popular Kenwood DMX7722DABS. They also wanted reverse sensors installed, so whilst I was fitting the head unit, Mark fitted the reversing sensors.

Had this mint Seat Mii in for a much needed audio upgrade. Customer wanted a CarPlay screen but on these vehicles, to get a double screen unit in is a lot of work, as you need to cut the heater controls in the lower part of the dash. So, I suggested a ZZ2 oversized single din chassis head unit. Great little units, very fast boot up and connection. Next up, was a speaker upgrade, as the drivers door speaker wasn’t working. We went for the Pioneer OEM speaker upgrade, which are pretty much a plug and play upgrade, so don’t need to chop any plugs off. Lastly, we installed a PowerBass under-seat sub, under the passenger seat, with bass controller in the centre console. Got to say it sounds amazing in there. Back at Scoobybits Subaru Specialists, to remove the Sigma alarm from this beautiful hatch Impreza. We then installed a Clifford Concept 650 Mk3 full cat 1 alarm. We linked the boot popper into the Clifford. Customer also wanted Clifford blackjax, which means you need to input the valet code, every time you start the vehicle. If then someone was to hijack your vehicle, you just get out and let them take the car. Due to the car door being opened, the Clifford then looks for the valet code to be entered, as they won’t know it, the Clifford starts flashing the brake lights and will then shut down the car and sound the siren. As they will have the Clifford fob, the alarm will ignore the fob until the valet code is input.

Last job of the day Scoobybits Subaru Specialists was to remove the failed Sigma alarm from this RB5 Impreza. The fuel pump immobiliser circuit had failed first, which the owner had had bypassed by someone else. However, it was not done safely; a switch was used but wired poorly, with the cables only being twisted together not soldered. We removed all the bad wiring and soldered the original wiring back together correctly and then removed the Sigma alarm, so the vehicle could start. We also removed the turbo timer, that was also poorly wired with the dreaded scotch lock connectors. This will be reinstalled properly, once the restoration of the vehicle is complete, as we will be installing a Clifford at the same time.

Back at our second home, Scoobybits Subaru Specialists. First, we ditched the failing Sigma alarm in Jason’s new courtesy Hawkeye Wagon and installed our ever popular Avital remote locking kit. Second job, was to remove the failed Sigma alarm in the blue bug eye Impreza, so they could move it into the work shop, as it wouldn’t start. Third, was another bug eye Impreza, which they bought for use on some upcoming projects. Again this had a failed Sigma alarm, so we removed this, so they could start it and move it around. Fourth job, was to install a Thinkware F790 front dash cam into Jason’s truck.
