The Tale of our Brilliant CowShed Cards! 🐮

A family business consisting of Graham, Josephine and Zaakary Slater. They started their business from their very own living room on the North Yorkshire Moors.

They took a step into an old local cowshed which is where they came up with the great name of their much loved Independent Greetings Card Business.

We fully support ❤️ and love to stock their great range of humorous cards that make you laugh out loud 😂

𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟯 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿

The Truro Half Marathon returns this year on Sunday 13 September and starts at 9.30am from Lemon Quay (registration opens at 8am and the race HQ is at Hall for Cornwall).

The half marathon course is almost entirely on road. It begins with a loop of central Truro, and runs out to Porth Kea, Playing Place and Cowlands so involves a few hills.

Note that registration closes Saturday 12 September 2026 at 12:00.

The event organisers are offering a number of free stalls to relevant city centre Truro businesses from 8.30am until 1pm on the day. For example sports and fitness businesses such as sports retailers, local physiotherapists, personal trainers, gyms and yoga studios. Participating businesses would have a gazebo where they could promote their business.

Yesterday marked exactly one whole month at Par Market! 🎉 And we can’t quite believe how quickly it’s gone!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has visited, shopped with us and supported us during our first month including Par Market and Food Hall. ❤️

It’s been fantastic getting to know so many new customers Justin loves talking 😂 as well as seeing plenty of familiar faces too!
