✨ CRAFT WITH A PURPOSE ✨
Many festive moons ago we were honoured to create two very special kits for the incredible children at Great Ormond Street Hospital 💛
🎅 Our Santa’s Sleigh kit was designed so children could write their worries to Santa and pop them in his sack - notes that, in reality, went to their care team and families, helping them understand what their precious ones were thinking.
🌟 Our Light Me Up kit was made for younger ones - a soft, glowing reminder of love and comfort if they woke in the night, something they could look at and know they weren’t alone.
400 of these kits were gifted to children and families going through unimaginably tough times. Their true magic was shared with an unbelievably powerful and heartfelt email from a parent who had made the craft with her little boy. A boy that wouldn’t be with them in 12 months’ time. His DNA had been pressed into the foam clay and a memory, a moment, however hard, was cemented in time. 💔
That story reminded me that creativity isn’t just about making — it’s about connecting, comforting, and cherishing moments that truly matter.
These two kits will always play a very special part of our festive line up and I love bringing out my little one’s creation every year, remembering when we crafted our moment in making time.
I’d love to collab with another charity, focusing on how creative craft can settle minds, busy hands and create mindful moments - that’s the freckles dream!
