COVID-19 UPDATE - SUNDAY 10TH MAY

FOLLOWING the Governments announcements this evening, it is the decision of the club that both lakes at Silksworth remain CLOSED for fishing at this time.

There were certain ambiguities in the information broadcast, and it is anticipated that the Angling Trust will issue a formal statement to clarify the situation in due course.

Whilst we would all like to see the lakes open for fishing again, this has to be done safely, and as a club, we have to be seen to acting corrrectly.

We believe that AT will issue such a statement as a matter of urgency, at which point, further discussion will be held within the club, and any update at all will be posted here, immediately.

Well done to Hetton Lyons AC winning team match between them and Sunderland Freshwater Angling Club at Silksworth lake. Return leg in a fortnight at Stephensons lake. Can SFAC get revenge?
