We are happy to confirm that we have removed from sale disposable barbecues as per the United Kingdom government instructions.
We’re even happier to confirm that sales of this product have collapsed over the last three months suggesting that human beings are intelligent enough to decide that when there’s been no rain it’d be a good idea not to set fire to a tray full of combustible materials!
We are still allowed to sell you all of the items that it you need to make a barbecue so one wonders what the point is?
Anyway, I never make political points on Facebook but please indulge me….
All the layers of government institutions in this country seem totally paralysed to act on issues and yet a ban on disposable barbecues is brought in across the UK within days. (Note across the uk)
Gwyneth County Council seem unable to fill a paddling pool or remove a dangerous and derelict building from our town,
The Welsh assembly seem unable to get to grips with a health board that’s been in special measures for nearly a decade.
The UK government seem unable to get to grips with migrant crossings or over 1 million of our young people not in education training or employment.
So the next time you hear anyone in power tell you we need a consultation, a royal commission, a task force, or they’ll be a reviews, just remember, like in Covid, when something politicians feel is needed, it’s done immediately.
Let that thought sink in over your brekkie and enjoy race the train. (Lucky I’m not in Lycra, the friction of bits of me rubbing together is a fire risk!!)
