✨ Original children’s book illustration ✨

I recently discovered that this beautiful original artwork is by Sheila Rose, created for Enid Blyton’s iconic The Famous Five series.

The handwritten caption reads: “Is he still there?” asks Dick.

There’s something magical about original book illustrations — the brushstrokes, the corrections, the history behind the printed page we all grew up with 💛

This piece came from Sheila Rose’s own book collection purchased via Dominic Winter Auctioneers, which makes it even more special.

Now heading to eBay for a new home ✨
