It’s the Ulverston charter family fun day in town today!

It celebrates Ulverston being given its market charter way back in 1280! Ulverston Market will be open all day if you wish to celebrate Ulverston’s market status inside in the dry! Combfoot Fibres is at Marras Nook today, come say hello & support the market!

Charter Family Fun Day
Sat 12 Sept, 10.30am - 3.30pm

Join us on Saturday 12th September for a FREE fun-filled day featuring live music and entertainment, free balloon modelling, free face painting, giant games, free art & craft session, free LEGO building [with prizes], a variety of stalls, model train rides, walkabout entertainers, food vendors, inshore rescue boat, human fruit machine, fire engine....and more!

Think you have the best pup?
Bring them along to the Family Dog Show at 2pm at Market Cross!
This year's categories are:
- Best Trick
- Waggiest Tail
- Best Younger Dog
- Best Older Dog
- Best Friend [owner + dog]
- Overall Winner
*No entry fee and no need to book - just show up and join the fun!
Every dog [and their human!] who takes part will receive a prize.
