Too warm for me and way too warm for the flowers 😩 nevertheless they survived with some serious water troughs and hidden mechanics! I kept these topped up with mineral water 🙃 and ice! Each stem was grown and cut locally!

Beautifully photographed by none other than Tom Curno at St Tewdrics House- a special wedding where we were more than just the florists, we were the guests too. My Gorg cousin Leah married the love of her life Matt Hopes surrounded by their nearest, dearest and most talented 😉🌸 the whole day was filled with love and laughter!

It’s Friday and I hope it’s going to be a cooler day. My brides have been so patient and understanding with me when I have had to make some last minute amendments to their bouquets, buttonholes and corsages. Sometimes there’s just certain flowers that will wilt no matter how good the mechanics are and for the flowers that will be without a water source for an amount of time, I have made judgement calls and switched some flowers out for other hardy types that I know will withstand this heat better. I was so relieved to finally have the perfect peonies for this beauty, it’s been a total science experiment trying to get the peonies open but not too open 🤯 some fading more than others but not to the point they’re going over and will explode on the wedding day 😆 the stress was real.
