Good morning.
The shop will be closed for 2 days this weekend, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June. Please come and get your supplies by Thursday. I’ll be back open as usual at 10am - Monday 16th June.

I’ll be attending a Royal Engineers reunion. Please be gentle on the Monday because I haven’t had a drink for 2 years and I’ll be delicate 🤦‍♂️

I’m open as usual today but we have EON blocking the car park to replace a lamppost by the library. It should be clear by around 11am.

Please take care if driving down as you can’t get into the carpark until they’ve moved their truck.

*update. Typically as I post, they move the truck for me and clear the entrance. Should be ok now but there are some guys working in the entrance so please be aware.

Good afternoon everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas.

Just to advise the shop is open as normal but we have roadworks and scaffold going up on the library next door. It’s tightened the access to the car park but you can still get in to park when visiting the shop.

Single-Use V**e Ban
Yesterday morning the Circular Economy Minister, Mary Creagh, confirmed that there will be
a ban on single-use disposable vapes from 1st June 2025. We had been expecting the
announcement for some time, so it has not come as a surprise. DEFRA have confirmed to
the IBVTA that the ban will come into effect immediately on 1st June, and without any “grace”
or transition period.
