September 14th Update
We have not been slacking here at EWM. The images are from my work table today. Its nice to be painting some figures again, but even more so when some of these are new creations, from 2 new moulds make last week. Both Andy and I have been suffering from health problems of one sort or the other in recent months. Mine caused me to be seated for long periods, with a muscle in my bottom spasming… Making me officially a “pain in the ar*e”. We are both now recovering well, but my forced slow up was met by a return of the creative MOJO. Its great, with much enthusiasm for the WWI period. On the table are just some of the fruits of recent labours. New Highlanders for 1914/15 and 1916 to 1918. These go with our other 1914/15 British for the BEF. These include Cavalry, Artillery already made, just not yet on the site. Also New French Zouaves and colonial troops for 1914/15 and beyond into the Interwar and early WWII period. These being a new range on French Tonkinese troops, which can have the head swapped for north African colonial troops with ease. All these models have separate heads, so you can pose the models how you wish. Some come with a separate arm, giving even more deign and pose options. Some new Horse drawn and Dog drawn carts and even a few civilian figures which can be used for Belgian or French Refugees.
There are more to come with a whole load of new German 1914/15 and 1916 to 1918 figures waiting to be moulded. Plus a whole range of German early WWI cavalry. Many of these being Tom Lobley’s wonderful designs, now having made it to be moulded. Tom Also gave me a number of German West/East Africa WWI masters including askari, and German Camel mounted troops. I shall be adding these to the EWM web store as they are finished. I’m even trying to paint the figures for pictures.
The wonderful Partizan show is fast approaching, and we shall be there as always. Do please place any orders for collection at the show as we can only bring limited stock of some of the things we make, to the show.
We had a visit from a customer last week, Richard Hern all the way from New Zeeland. It was a please to meet with him, show him the workshop and enjoy a few beers the night before.
The return of ones creative MOJO is so welcome. The buzz it gives you, the urge to create miniatures for the period and topic being studied and enjoyed.
On the German Kommando Raid investigation front, there have been many new discoveries and something incredibly special is developing nicely.
Hope to see some of you at Partizan in October…..Paul T@EWM

Just a short video peek into the workshop and a mould being cast.
I shall be doing more content in future as we now have a Vlog camera and pair of mic's. As I do more, I hope to improve the technique.
Its a misty day here, not so hot as the last few days. More workshop tours planned. Also a return to the Table Top Tea Time Chatter, us gassing about models, mould making, miniatures and more, in the time it takes to drink a cuppa......

The wonderful Partizan show is fast approaching and EWM will be there. If you want any of your products can I urge to to send us a show pre order so you can collect at the show.
Also, as a small business we encourage our customers to pay with cash, but we can do card transactions if needed.
There is a lot going on here currently which has impacted my ability to get the EWM webstore repopulated. The German Kommando raid investigations are producing some more exciting results.
But we still make all the same models and more, that we have done for many years now. Our ranges cover from 1914, through the interwar period and up till 1945.
If you cant see what you want on the webstore, you can order by email at [email protected].
Looking forward to seeing many of you at this favourite show.

EWM is at the wonderful Beachhead show in Bournemouth this weekend. We shall be bringing our selection of models including some new items, to the show. I have watch this show grow and become more and more successful over the years run by my good friend Peter Valinski of Entoyment.
We shall be giving a talk on both days covering the emerging story of the German Kommando raid on RAF St Lawrence in 1943. This is an investigation I have been running for 9 years now, it being so close to where I live on the Isle of Wight. I plan to cover some of the hypothesis I shared with professor Simon's that led to our getting permission to run a archaeological dig on site in January 2024. Using forensic techniques, hours of study, you may be somewhat surprised by what has been uncovered from our third witness, the ground. The St Lawrence Hirtenbergers will be on display. Their discovery and subsequent confirmation is a story in itself. We shall look at aspects of the cover up evidence with recent military documents from Kew confirming aspects of this investigation. I hope you will join me at 2.00pm on the Saturday and Sunday to hear some of the very latest updates including secret German maps discovered nearby 81 years after the war.
The more we dig, the more we find.......

The webstore rebuild has started. A whole new range has been added to the EWM webstore for Early war USA Pacific. These are new to the site and our customers. They are mostly from the excelent ranges first produced by Sargent Major Miniatures. 2 years ago, I did some remastering work on a good number of them, removing the heads so as to make them separate head option models. I did also add a new figure with a Lewis gun. So the range is shown and where the “old” is part of the product code, these are the original models which are single piece castings. The new remolded models dont have old in the product code. The 10 man sets are a mix of both types. You can find them here : https://earlywarminiatures.com/index.php/product-category/wwii-early-war/usa-pacific/

On the store now........Enjoy

We are going to to be taking the full emerging story of German Kommando raid exhibition to the batttles through history show in Ardingly West Sussex on October 4/5. There is a wargaming element to this show, so a chance for interested folks to come have a look at what I have been doing, down here, on the Isle of Wight. Its the first time we have taken our exhibition off the island. Hope to see a few of you there perhaps.....PaulT@EWM

We are pleased that the "Nothing to See Here" Exhibition around the emerging story of the German Kommando raid on the Isle of Wight Radar station at RAF St Lawrence, is coming along to the show.
The exhibition features some their star finds namely the St Lawrence Hirtenbergers. Austrian 9mm bullet casings fired from a Walther P.038 German service pistol within the context of a fire fight on the cliff edge, within the defensive perimeter of the RAF radar station, into which 3 hand grenades were thrown. Context really is everything.
There will also be a daily talk. Head to ther FB page for more info, Raid Interest Group Communications Page
