Hello everyone, please see details about Kevin's funeral. Kevin will be passing his shop for the final time at approximately 11:55 if you would like to gather to pay respects. I am Anzhelika Kevin wife, With a heavy heart I am sad to announce Kevin's passing on the 12th of February. I will let everyone know the funeral details nearer the time on this page, Thank you too to all his customers and friends past and present and also to our friends near and far who have shown there love and support in words, flowers and cards. We would be very grateful if anyone could make a contribution towards the cost of Kevin's funeral, to give him the send of he truly deserves. Thank you x

The time has come to introduce you to this young lady. Her name is Ella, she has experience in the film industry in set design and costume but her real passion in for shoes. I think we shall be seeing a lot of these little videos as photographs everything and is a lot more up to date with today's technology than I will ever be.

This commission is a pair of late 18th century ladies shoes based on a pair of Marie Antoinette`s shoes that was stolen during the fall of the Tuleries and is now preserved in the Musee Carnavalet in France.

Another batch of Napoleonic British army boots for Wellingtons army. Made in flesh dressed veg tan leather with wooden pegged soles. So glad I managed to get this lot done and out in time for Christmas so the "Iron Duke`s" soldiers would find them under under the tree on Christmas morning.

This time for a pair in yellow and I was very pleased to have been sent this picture of Danielle, one of the museums interpreters, wearing them.

WARNING CUTNESS ALERT !!!

When I made these little boots for the "Ragged Victorians" I never expected to see them again other than in the many great photos that they post on their page. I was amazed when they asked me if I could replace the sole of these boots and told me that they are now on their third little street urchin. As you can see from the paper thin remnants of the original sole and heel they have certainly seen a lot of service, yet here they are ready to go again for their next little owner

a commission with a difference this time as it is a reproduction of a reproduction.
I was asked by a lady customer if I could make a pair of shoes similar to the pair that she had got married in. She sent me an old photo of her and her husband on their wedding day way back in 1964, a lifetime ago. The shoes that she wore were known as "Tom Jones" shoes, named after the film Tom Jones staring Albert Finney that had a bit of a cult following back then.
The lady wanted the shoes in black leather rather than white like her original pair and as these were not to be historically accurate they were made on handed last rather than straights. To finish them off I fitted a pair of Kimberly`s K. Walters at the Sign of the Gray Horse shoe buckles from her Charlotte range as it seemed fitting for these shoes.
