Paul Waits with an upper twenty Mirror from his local Cornish club water.

He fished an Esterblend B Ultra pop up over Tiger Nuts. Then over the top he spod a mix of flaked maize soaked in Esterblend B liquid and evaporated milk.

Milemead Social Part 3 - Specimen Lake

This is the last of our reports from the Mirage Baits Milemead Social and this one comes from the Specimen Lake.

For the lads on this lake it was an incredibly challenging weekend. The cold evenings and warm sunny days certainly didn't do any favours. During the day they were sat up in the water just below the surface not interested in anything put in front of them, also it was suspected there was a fly hatch so plenty of naturals to keep them occupied. However Jabez Foard and Martin Stephens managed to get a few fish on the bank. Jabez had a cracking 26lb+ Common and a 10lb Common and Martin managed an upper double Common.

Well done gents and well done all the other lads, everyone put in a lot of effort throughout the weekend.

Milemead Social Part 2 - Boat Lake

We continue our reports from the Mirage Baits Milemead Social and this one is from the Boat Lake. This lake can only be booked out for 2 anglers on the social and this year Matthew Perring and his son Kai fished it.

Well what a session they both had, especially young Kai who got to watch his Dad catch a 35lb Catfish which was Matthews first ever Cat, then to really top the trip off Kai landed a 28lb Mirror and a new PB!

About 10yrs since the last official record was accepted. This is a pukka carp and inches the uk closer to 70lb naturally grown and not in a warm water hot tub

Milemead Social Part 1 - Cat n Carp Lake

A couple of weeks ago the Mirage Baits team had their annual social session up at Milemead Lakes in Tavistock. We booked 3 lakes over the weekend. Once again it was another successful trip with all lakes producing fish and some very nice ones too.

Our first report is from the Cat n Carp Lake. The lads on this lake had a busy session with some struggling to keep a rod in the water it was that hectic! The lake produced some lovely Carp and Cats.

Can’t keep these to myself after the great weekend on the Milemead Mirage fishin.

Prawn Pellets - 2.5kg

Mixed 2mm, 4mm, 6mm pellets infused in Preawn Head Hydro. Slightly moist, highly and instantly palatable-no artificial flavours in this one to just make a smell. Nice in a mesh bag, a boat, a spoon or a feeder 😉

This weekend it is our annual Milemead Lakes social for Mirage team members. Last couple we have done have been incredibly successful with everyone having a good catch-up and enjoying themselves, but most importantly catching some cracking fish.

We are all very excited for this weekend and look forward to sharing our captures.

We couldn't wait to post this stunning capture from a Cornish reservoir sent in by Mirage team member Chris Dyer.

Here is his report....

"The session didn't start off as I'd planned getting down a lot later than I'd of wanted. After a quick check of available swims I settled in a swim I knew had form this time of the year. Rods touched down with proper cracks then came the ever faithful Esterblend 18mm over the top. 4 hours into the session the left hand rod was away with a slow nodding of the rod. After a good fight she was in the net in all her glory. First glance and lot of eye rubbing I first thought it was a fish known as the 'Chestnut Common' but after confirmation I was told her true name, 'The Uncommon Common' at her biggest weight of 37lb 4oz. To say I'm still buzzing is an understatement but just goes to show keep a good bait going in and they will come. Esterblend is definitely my go to where ever i go and lots of it!"

Jason McEvoy has been back out again on his local water. He had a good session managing a couple of lovely Commons, one at 30lb and the other at 26lb 4oz. Caught using Reservoir Specials.
