This beautiful Acufactum fabric Elderberry and Hydrangeas is featured in the upcoming book A Handmade Winter. A hugely popular fabric at the recent Newcastle quilt fair, we still have a small amount left before the next delivery in just over a week.
The next release of fabrics from this beautiful book are arriving any day now so watch this space ........

Here's the fabulously talented Alison Sutherland who picked up her beautiful quilt at the Newcastle Quilt Show after collecting it from Janes Longarm Quilting.

We love all of the warm, soft shades that Alison has blended together. The design is so pretty - Alison used the free block patterns on the website and joined them to create this beautiful design.

Getting Ready for Newcastle Quilt Show at Newcastle Racecourse and we would love to see you there if you are able to make it!

It will be open tomorrow and Saturday with tickets available through Grosvenor Shows

We are very close to being ready though there are still some finishing touches to be completed in the morning!

Meet Gertrude the Goose who is coming along to the Newcastle Quilt show with us later this week - isn't she fabulous!!
Made by the super talented Denise Gertrude had her first appearance at Malvern and was loved by all who saw her.
The second image was how Gertrude looked every time I left Michael for a moment with her - he loves to see her eyes with her hat folded up and so throughtout the days at Malvern her hat changed many times depending on whether it was Michael or myself who saw her last 😂
What clever fabric placement on her hat and wings and don't you just love her adorable apron! 🥰

The weather certainly has an autumnal feel at the moment and it feels like the times right to get out into the garden to tidy for the Winter. I do like to leave seed heads and grasses for the insects over winter but there are things like cutting back the old blackberry stems and painting the picket fence before I can tie up the stems that will bare the fruit for next year. Then there's the conifer hedge to trim that lays the full length of the garden 😬
